Le projet La Scala est né en 2012 pour une création théâtrale. Scala signifiant échelle ou escalier en italien, il est fortement question d'ascension dans le cas d’un programme de compositions originales mêlant improvisations et écriture, et naviguant entre tourments intériorisés et implosions soudaines.
